When we took N.L. Commercials on board the first thing we set out to do was to optimize their IT needs, moving away from hosted packages to self-managed server and email systems. We brought everything in-house, allowing them much more control over their IT. We recently undertook phase two of our roll out to streamline their infrastructure with a complete network revamp. This included upgrading and simplifying their existing network.
After identifying that N.L. Commercials were reliant on third-party packages for their IT, we were tasked with bringing everything in-house to give them much-needed control over their infrastructure.
Their existing server was to be upgraded to handle the new roles, as well as to incorporate virtualisation for any future improvements and expansion.
Once this was complete, we planned to streamline their internal network by cutting out unnecessary points of failure and upgrading the existing hardware.
We initially identified the areas of their business N.L. could being back in-house. After upgrading the server that was on-premise, we were able to migrate their hosted solutions to their server, cutting back on costs and the reliance on third-parties.
Once this was complete, we set about expanding their capabilities by enabling the server for virtualisation and adding new functionality they required as their business grew.
Finally, we have recently finished our final phase which meant upgrading the existing network on site. We have now upgraded old and slow hardware to greatly improve network performance and reliability, whilst also removing unnecessary points of failure.
