Our Warranty Tracking System allows our client to track and manage Warranty Claims for various automotive parts. This program includes the ability to manage suppliers, customers and parts. The system also includes many user customisations, allowing you to set access rights for every area of the system.
Our client were using an old access-powered database for tracking Warranties, developed by an employee who had long-since left the company. The system worked, however, users were often encountering bugs and corruption issues due to the nature of Access.
The key issues were speed and reliability. Many employees needed to be able to access this data, often simultaneously, and have the data to hand quickly in order to satisfy customer queries via phone, email, or in person.
We set out to emulate and improve upon the existing systems’ functionality. Taking cues from the Access database, so as to not disrupt work-flows that had been built up over time, we worked hard to make sure the database was not only faster, but more reliable, and more secure than before.
Using Microsoft SQL and .NET, we were able to deliver a familiar, yet completely new, experience for our client which satisfied their need for a Warranty tracking system that can be accessed by many users, provide information quickly, and be customised to their needs.
